It constantly jammed and was gawd-awful loud. I have a heavy duty shredder already in my home office, but I needed a small unit for the kitchen where I shred junk mail. I ordered this one mainly because it was under $50 and claims to be "whisper" quiet.It arrived quickly and the shredder didn't disappoint. It not only handled the 6 sheets, but was amazingly quiet. I also like the look and feel of the modern design to match my other kitchen stainless steel appliances. The actual model looks bigger than the picture. For the price, it's a kickass deal. Here are few things that I like about it:1) Whisper quiet. You hear a bit of a buzzing noise that is created by paper being shredded, crushed, if you will. 2) Oil comes with the shredder. A median size bottle of oil for lubrication of small little blades that cut paper. 3) It can shred CDs, DVDs, and Credit cards. It has separate slots for CDs, and credit cards. 4)Perfect size for shredding junk mail. I had so much of junk mail with personal information on it, as well as old bills that I got rid of. 5) The shredder came packed in two boxes. Since the shredder is mostly made out of plastic, it was supported/cushioned by Styrofoam on both sides. The manual came inside as well.
